AG Roy Cooper Meets With Charlotte Teachers

CHARLOTTE, NC– Attorney General Roy Cooper met with several Charlotte teachers today to talk education.

Over coffee at Amelie’s Bakery and Cafe in NODA, teachers voiced their concerns about their pay, classroom sizes, and how they need more resources in the classroom.

“It’s important for legislators to know what their constituents need, to keep the open lines of communication…It’s hard to get people to stay. People are leaving before the year is out.” said teacher Veronica Talon

Democrat Roy Cooper is in the race for the State’s top job. He and Governor Pat McCrory who is running for re-election, will go head to head this November.
