People have taken to social media after two officer-involved shootings went viral in the past two days.
On Wednesday, 37-year-old Alton Sterling was shot and killed by police outside of a convenience store in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. A bystander recorded Sterling’s last moments with the officers.
On Thursday, 32-year-old Philandro Castile was shot four times by an officer during a traffic stop in Minnesota. His fiance live streamed the aftermath.
Both videos quickly went viral.
A police officer shared her own video on Facebook, shaming the cops that were involved and showing remorse for the victims’ families.
John Legend also tweeted to the National Rifle Association, asking about equal protection.

A radio DJ’s shared his thoughts on the air, saying that it’s time for good cops to start calling out bad cops.
“That’s the reason the public thinks all of you are bad,” He said. “Because you won’t ever call someone out and say “they murdered someone in cold blood.””
Both shootings are currently under investigation. Police in Baton Rouge have handed over the investigation to the Department of Justice.
No charges have been filed against any officer at this time.
