Wilson’s World: Reporter Jon Burgandy Covering the “Zombie Outbreak” at SCarowinds
Halloween haunting fun with SCarowinds and our ace part-time "reporter" Jon Burgandy.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Wilson was off today, but his “good friend” (and really distant relative), reporter Jon Burgandy stepped in to cover the “zombie apocalypse” that is occurring at SCarowinds until Halloween. Jon risked life and limb to get the scoop on the “zombie outbreak.” The results were a little mixed.
Each October Carowinds pulls out all the stops to transform into Scarowinds, one of the scariest places to visit when you want to get your “haunt” on. When the sun goes down, adults can enjoy mazes, rides and attractions such as London Terror, Psycho Circus and Scary Tales (just to name a few).
But, don’t forget, the younger Halloween fans can enjoy SCarowinds during the day at The Great Pumpkin Fall Fest. The family-friendly daytime event includes Halloween-themed live shows, a pumpkin patch, a hay bale maze, trick-or-treating, a petting zoo and so much more! Your favorite rides will be open during the day, including our award-winning Planet Snoopy kids’ area. The Great Pumpkin Fest runs Saturdays & Sundays from through October 30. Halloween activities are from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
SCarowinds is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights this weekend and next weekend through October 30th. For admission and ticket information as well as directions go to their website at carowinds.com/scarowinds.
