WCCB’s Chef Troy Gagliardo is teaming up with other chef’s in the area to help raise money for Hurricane Matthew victims in North Carolina.
Chefs from all over the southeast will prepare and sell a version of a traditional eastern North Carolina style fish stew. The money raised between October 30th-November 5th will go towards relief efforts.
The initial idea for the fundraiser was created by the James Beard and Emmy award winning Chef Vivian Howard.
WCCB’s Chef Troy will work with Chef Chris Coleman and the team at Stoke restaurant in the Marriott downtown to be part of the effort to prepare and sell the fish stew on Friday, November 4th from 11am-1pm. Proceeds from the lunch will go towards these relief efforts.
Chef Troy will prepare a version of the fish stew on WCCB News Rising this Tuesday, November 1st. Be sure to watch Rising from 4:30am-9am for more details on the event.
Chef Vivian will also join Chef Troy on Tuesday, November 8th on WCCB News Rising.
