CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A Charlotte man died Tuesday morning, following a single car accident on Brookshire Boulevard.
According to the CMPD, officers responded to an accident near the intersection of Brookshire Boulevard and I-85 around 4:30a.m. on Tuesday morning, where theyΒ located a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado, which had struck a building after running off the roadway.
The driver of the vehicle, 53-year-old Tony Lamar Cunningham, was transported to Carolinas Medical Center-Main, and was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
The CMPD Major Crash Investigation Unit conducted an investigation, and it appears that Mr. Cunningham may have had a medical event, which led to the crash.Β Speed nor impairment are factors in the accident, and the case remains under investigation.
