ROCK HILL, S.C. — Officials have released the identity of the man hit by a train in Rock Hill as 57-year-old Donnie Smith.
Rock Hill police is investigating.
ROCK HILL, S.C. — Rock Hill Police have released additional information regarding a man who was found dead on the rail road tracks Wednesday evening.
Investigators have determined that on Wednesday, around 5 a.m., the 57-year-old victim was sleeping, illegally, on the Norfolk Southern Rail Line, when he was struck by a passing train. Β Β The Accident Reconstruction Team concluded that the victim died as a result of the injuries sustained.
The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of kin.
