Wilson’s World: Exploring the Stars in the New Planetarium at Discovery Place Nature

The Charlotte Nature Museum is now Discovery Place Nature.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. –  Some people think that Wilson has his head in the stars, and today he most definitely did.  He was geeking out at Discovery Place Nature while being amazed in their new digital planetarium.  Formerly the Nature Dome in the Charlotte Nature Museum, the new Digitarium Zeta Planetarium in the now named Discovery Place Nature will take visitors throughout the stars and planets exploring various astronomy topics.

Discovery Place Nature includes not only the new planetarium but all of the exhibits and animals and  the wonderful ways visitors can connect with nature.

Discovery Place Nature is open Tuesday through Sunday (closed on Mondays and major holidays).  They offer group tours, school field trips and even a place to throw a fun birthday party.  Discovery Place Nature is located at 1658 Sterling Road in Charlotte.  For more information go to their website nature.discoveryplace.org.
