Wilson’s World: Visits Students, Teachers and Volunteers at Sterling Elementary School

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Wilson really enjoys having kids on the show.  Today he was at Sterling Elementary School where he was enjoying talking with the kids as well as teachers and volunteers.  He has visited with the kids before and they have such a great energy and desire to learn that he wanted to check back in on them and see how they were doing.

The kids had a great time talking with Wilson about reading and how much they enjoy getting lost in a good book while learning about other countries as well.  The 4th and 5th graders at the school are part of the Battle of the Books.  The Battle of the Books is a reading competition among 4th and 5th graders from many schools.  The kids are required to read books and then they enter a contest with students from other CMS schools in a trivia competition about the books.
