Women’s March Attracts Thousands in Uptown
CHARLOTTE, NC – Mirroring similar marches across the country, crowds swelled in Uptown Charlotte Saturday.
Women, men, and children filled the streets holding signs and chanting.
Marchers say they want to send a message to Donald Trump and the new administration.
“Remember we’re all Americans.. not just the ones who voted for you,” says Huntersville resident Lilly Buckland.
People at the march said they don’t want women’s issues ignored or forgotten over the next four years.
Marchers said they plan to fight to bring attention to causes they’re passionate about, like education, health care, and equal pay.
“Support the issues that are important to me. And do it in an active way that’s also peaceful,” says Statesville resident Jennifer Snitko.
