Wilson’s World: Visiting Lupie’s Cafe, a Charlotte Landmark for 30 Years
CHARLOTTE, N.C. –Β Β Β Wilson stopped in at Lupie’s Cafe on Monroe Road this morning to check out this Charlotte staple that has been serving stick to your ribs homemade food for 30 years.Β Lupie Duran, the owner of Lupie’s joined Wilson to talk about the history of the restaurant, its connection to the community and the great food.
Lupie will soon be passing the torch of running the cafe to her daughter Larkin who grew up at hanging out at the restaurant.Β And Larkin has promised that the cafe will stay just the way it has for almost 30 years.
