CMPD & Pineville Police Seek Glove Wearing Gunman
PINEVILLE, N.C. — Police need your help identifying a man accused of robbing a Pineville convenience store of cigarettes.
Police say at 6:00 am on February 1st, officers with the Pineville Police Department responded to an armed robbery at the Sam’s Mart Gas Station on 10222 Johnston Road. Once at the scene, officers discovered that an unknown suspect fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of cigarettes.
A K-9 Unit was then sent to track the suspect; however, lost that track a short distance away.
CMPD says the same suspect also robbed the Food Mart on Freedom Drive at gunpoint Sunday around 11:42pm.
The suspect is described as a black male in his 20’s or 30’s, approximately 6′-0” tall and weighing approximately 180-190 lbs. He is described as also wearing blue gloves, possibly medical type, and used a long gun during the actual robbery.
