Panthers Re-sign Linebacker Jacobs To Two-Year Deal

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Carolina Panthers announced the re-signing of linebacker Ben Jacobs to a two-year contract on Wednesday.

The former practice squad player played in every game for the Panthers in 2014 and 2015, leading the team in special teams tackles each season.  Jacobs was set to become a restricted free agent before being re-signed.

Jacobs was released with an injury settlement at the beginning of the 2016 season.  He returned for the last four games of the season, recording one special teams tackle.
