Woman Arrested For Sending Children To Sell Cookies And Keeping Profits

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A Charlotte woman has been arrested for her involvement in a “cookie scam.”

Police say Nikeyshi Carzell sent her children door to door claiming they were selling cookies for a fundraiser when she was keeping the money for herself.

Carzell was arrested Wednesday without incident.  She has been charged with numerous counts of obtaining property by false pretense.
