MATTHEWS, N.C. — Police need your help locating a man wanted for assaulting a woman in the parking lot of a restaurant in Matthews.
Investigators say Jimmy Rogers assaulted the female on Sunday in the parking lot of a Bojangles on East Independence Boulevard around noon.
Rogers reportedly left the scene on foot. Rogers is a black male, 5’11” tall, with medium build, medium length hair and wears glasses. He was last seen wearing a navy blue hoodie, blue jeans and tan Timberland boots.
Anyone with information on Rogers whereabouts is asked to call 911. Police say Rogers is a convicted felon with a violent past and should not be approached if seen.
