Concerned Citizen Helps Police Catch Larceny Suspects

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Investigators say a concerned citizen helped police track down two suspects accused of breaking into a vehicle in south Charlotte.

The witness called 911 and told police he noticed two suspects looking into vehicles on Via Romano Drive.  The witness said the suspects left the area when he drove around in an attempt to locate them.  The witness then said he saw the suspects again but one of them left the area when he approached a second time.

At that point, officers arrived on the scene and detained Alexander Greis and Tyzhaun Carney. Both suspects were interviewed and later charged with breaking and entering a motor vehicle and felony conspiracy.
