RALEIGH, NC — House and Senate leaders announced Wednesday night that a deal has been reached with Governor Cooper to repeal House Bill 2.
Senator Phil Berger and Speaker Tim Moore made the announcement shortly after 10:30pm. The replacement bill, House Bill 142, will be voted on tomorrow morning at 9:15am.
No further details have been made available at this time regarding the new bill, but Senator Berger and Speaker Moore say statements from both parties, along with a copy of the replacement bill, will be released soon.
