Mother, Daughter Arrested For Selling Prescription Drugs

ALBEMARLE, NC — Police arrested a mother and daughter duo after they were caught selling prescription drugs to an undercover detective.

Annette Burleyson, 43, of Locust, NC and her daughter Caroline Honbarrier, 22, of Albemarle were arrested during a sting operation Tuesday.

Burleyson was charged with Felony Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell and Deliver SCH II Controlled Substance, Felony Deliver SCH II Controlled Substance, Felony Sell of SCH II Controlled Substance, Felony Trafficking Opium and two counts of Misdemeanor Child Abuse.

Honbarrier was charged with Felony Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell and Deliver SCH II Controlled Substance, Felony Deliver SCH II Controlled Substance, Felony Sell of SCH II Controlled Substance, Felony Trafficking Opium, Felony Possession of SCH I Controlled Substance and Misdemeanor Child Abuse.

Both women received a $100,000 secured bond.
