Lingering Showers Early With Strong Wind. Mountain Snow Returns!

Wet weather will continue early today, with afternoon drying in Charlotte. Very strong wind is expected from the Piedmont to the Mountains. Temperatures will only reach the low 60s and feel cooler with winds gusting over 40 mph at times. Friday will be mostly sunny and windy with highs reaching near 60 degrees. Mountain communities can expect on and off rain/snow showers today and Friday, minor accumulations possible at the higher elevations. Sunny skies and calmer winds will return to the area over the weekend with gradually warming temperatures.
