IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. — Officials say a student from Lake Norman High School was found unresponsive following a suicide attempt at the school.
Investigators say a student notified school officials after they found another student unresponsive inside the school auditorium. Β Administrators worked to remove the student from a make shift noose.
Officials performed CPR and rendered first aid on the unresponsive student. Β The student was transferred to a hospitalΒ in Charlotte for additional treatment.
The student’s name is not being released at this time. Β No other students were injured in what officials call an isolated incident.
The school is operating on a normal schedule for the remainder of the day.
