Wilkes County Man Rescued From Rushing Flood Waters

WILKES COUNTY, NC — Officials say two men are lucky to be alive after being trapped in their pick-up truck by rushing flood waters.

One man was able to escape the truck and swim to safety, but the other had to be rescued by firefighters after climbing onto the truck’s roof.

Officials say the man was taken to the hospital for treatment and is in good condition.
