CMS Parents Start Petition To Delay Student Assignment Plan Vote

CHARLOTTE, NC — Parents are starting a petition asking CMS board members to delay their new student assignment plan.

The phase two plan will make changes to 75 schools and impacts hundreds of students. The petition was started by a group called ‘Concerned Parents.’ It asks the board to delay their May 24th vote on the plan.

If approved, the plan would begin in the 2018-19 school year.
