CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A seven-year-old was struck by a car in a hit-and-run accident, Saturday afternoon.
CMPD says the incident occurred at about 2:30 p.m., in the 3500 block of Crestridge Drive in west Charlotte.
Police say the driver of a small, green, four-door sedan struck the child and left the scene.
Officers believe the driver is a black male, possibly wearing a plaid shirt.
The child is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries at Carolinas Medical Center.
