CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Β The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Animal Care and Control Shelter is holding a “Prepareathon” to help pets and owners prepare for emergency situations.
The event will be held this Saturday, May 13th, from 8 a.m. to noon. Β Pets will be able to receive free rabies vaccinations, free microchips, and free pet Identification tags with collars from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Emergency management will provide preparedness tips and information about signing up for the CharMeck alerts system.
Coffee and breakfast will be provided by Merck Animal Health.
