Expect Longer Lines At The Airport Starting This Week

CHARLOTTE, NC — Travelers at Charlotte Douglas Airport will start seeing longer lines at the TSA checkpoints this week.

Airport officials are bracing for a record-breaking summer. Officials estimate the airport will serve 30,000 passengers on Thursday and again on Friday.

The airport is planning for its busiest day yet on or around June 9th when CMS lets out for the summer.

During Spring Break last year, hundreds of passengers missed their flights due to long wait lines at TSA checkpoints. Officials say passengers should arrive at least two hours early.
