Sportsplex at Matthews Grand Opening
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — On Monday, the Charlotte Independence announced tickets for the grand opening of the Sportsplex at Matthews stadium are now on sale. The game on Saturday, June 17th versus the Harrisburg City Islanders presented by Chick-fil-A marks the beginning of a Celebration of Soccer for the remaining Independence home games in 2017.
Tickets for the Saturday, June 17th grand opening of the Sportsplex at Matthews stadium can be purchased at charlotteindependence.com or by calling (704)-206-1515. The event will host live music at a family-friendly tailgate, food trucks, and post-game fireworks. Festivities will begin at 5:00 PM ET with stadium gates opening at 5:30 PM ET. The Charlotte Independence are scheduled to kick off their match with Harrisburg City Islanders at 7:00 PM ET. Post-game firework will start approximately ten minutes after the conclusion of the match.
