CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A woman involved in a wreck in south Charlotte on Monday has died.
Police say Mildred Sophia Hickling, 81, died on Tuesday, June 6th, at Carolinas Medical Center-Main, from injuries sustained in the accident.
According to the CMPD, Mrs. Hickling was traveling south on Rea Road near Parks Farm Lane, when the Suzuki SX4 she was driving ran into a small tree in the median. Β After hitting the tree, the vehicle crossed into the northbound lane and struck a Honda Odyssey head-on.
Both passengers in the Honda Odyssey were wearing seatbelts. Β They were transported to CMC-Main and treated for minor injuries.
Speed nor alcohol were factors in the accident.
