Wilson’s World: A Little Baseball Music with Frances Crockett and “Women in Baseball” at BB&T Ballpark with the Charlotte Knights

Tomorrow is Charlotte Knights' Turnback Tuesday with Women in Baseball Night beginning at 7:05pm

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Wilson was wound tight with his espresso and having fun with a little organ music outside BB&T Ballpark in Uptown Charlotte.  He was excited to meet and chat with Frances Crockett who was GM of the Charlotte O’s and Crockett Park during the 70’s and 80’s.

As part of their Turnback Tuesday this Tuesday, June 13th, the Charlotte Knights are celebrating”Women in Baseball Night” and will be highlighting 125 years of baseball history in Charlotte.  Part of that history includes Frances Crockett who is a genuine Charlotte legend.  Wilson talked with Frances about her family and how they, and she,  made their place in Charlotte’s baseball history with the Charlotte O’s baseball organization.

The Knights will be teaming up with Safe Alliance  asking fans to bring in their old cell phones when they come to the game on Tuesday to help women who are victims of domestic violence.  Bring any cell phone and it will be safely wiped of all information before being recycled.

Charlotte Knight’s Turnback Tuesday “Women in Baseball Night” celebrates women who have helped make baseball the great tradition it has become.  For more information go to the Charlotte Knight’s website HERE.
