HICKORY, N.C. — Hickory Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed at a local restaurant, early Saturday morning.
Authorities say at about 2 a.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2017, Β officers responded to a report of shots fired at Alessio’s Lounge.
The responding officers found Shamar Rashad Wilson, 37, in the parking lot suffering from gunshot wound. Β Mr. WilsonΒ died at Frye Regional Medical Center from injuries sustained in the shooting.
Authorities believe the shooting is not a random act of violence.
The investigation is ongoing.
