HICKORY, N.C. — Hickory Police are investigating after a man was shot and killed at a local restaurant, early Saturday morning.
Authorities say at about 2 a.m. on Saturday, June 17, 2017, officers responded to a report of shots fired at Alessio’s Lounge.
The responding officers found Shamar Rashad Wilson, 37, in the parking lot suffering from gunshot wound. Mr. Wilson died at Frye Regional Medical Center from injuries sustained in the shooting.
Authorities believe the shooting is not a random act of violence.
The investigation is ongoing.
