UPDATE: Investigators have arrested a wanted Charlotte man after they say he set his girlfriend’s home on fire, killing five pets.
Gregory Carson was located and arrested on Wednesday, in Statesville, N.C.
CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. — Investigators are searching for a Charlotte man after they say he set his girlfriend’s home on fire. Five of the woman’s pets were killed in the fire.
Deputies say Gregory Carson set the home on BJ Drive in Conover on fire on July 5th. Two dogs, a flying squirrel and two fish were killed in the fire, according to a warrant.
Carson is wanted for assault on a female, second degree arson, second degree kidnapping and cruelty to animals.
Carson is described as a 25-year-old black male, 5′ 7″ tall, and 190 pounds. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911 immediately.
