Man Arrested For Breaking Into West Charlotte Business

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police say they arrested a man for breaking into a business in west Charlotte early Monday morning.

Officers were patrolling in the area of Freedom Drive just before 5am on July 24th when they reportedly heard a loud crashing noise, according to a news release.

That is when police say they observed Nakema Peterson carrying multiple Metro PCS bags and a ski mask in the same area where the loud noise came from.

Police responded to the Metro PCS store on Freedom Drive and the front door was broken, according to a news release.  Peterson has been charged with breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, possession of stolen goods, possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
