Wilson’s World: In Uptown with the Salvation Army and Mayfield Creamery

Enjoy free Mayfield ice cream while in Uptown today from 11am until 3pm and help the Salvation Army.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. –  Wilson was at the corner of Trade and Tryon in Uptown Charlotte this morning where he was joining members of the Salvation Army  and Mayfield Creamery as they were preparing their big ice cream giveaway.

Today only, from 11am until 3pm, Mayfield Creamery will be scooping out free ice cream to raise money for the Salvation Army.  For every scoop of their delicious Denali Moosetracks Ice Cream they give away, they will donate $1 to the Salvation Army.  They are hoping to give away ten thousands scoops to raise $10,000.

Scottie Mayfield, president of Mayfield Creamery joined Wilson to talk about their product and their association with the Salvation Army.   Mr. Mayfield and Major Broome with the Salvation Army even went head to head in an ice cream scooping contest.

So, if you are in Uptown Charlotte near the corners of Trade and Tryon, be sure to stop by and get a free scoop of Moosetracks ice cream and help out the Salvation Army.
