CMPD says members of the Independence Division Crime Reduction Unit assisted officers from North Carolina Probation while they conducted a probation visit on Curtis Robinson on Old Lantern Way in the Coventry Woods neighborhood.

During the search of Robinson’s home, officers say they located ammo and six firearms.  It was determined that five of the six firearms were confirmed stolen.  One of the firearms was stolen during a break-in at Aim and Defend in Gastonia, according to a news release.

Robinson has been charged with five counts of possession of a stolen firearm and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
