Wilson’s World: Harris Teeter Partners Up with Classroom Central
Harris Teeter and Classroom Central partner up to provide teachers with supplies they need for students.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Wilson visits Classroom Central each summer as they begin to restock their bare shelves to get prepared for the new school year. And to get the re-stocking started with a bang Harris Teeter presented to Classroom Central $1,000 in Harris Teeter gift cards.
As part of Harris Teeter’s Together In Education program Harris Teeter shoppers can link their VIC card to Classroom Central to earn funds for school supplies each time you purchase Harris Teeter brand products. The code for Classroom Central is 4938. Shoppers can either go online to link their card, or tell their cashier at check-out.
The mission of Classroom Central is to give students who live in poverty the school supplies they need to succeed in the classroom. Classroom Central covers schools in Charlotte Mecklenburg, Gaston, Iredell/Statesville, Union, the City of Kannapolis, and Lancaster, SC. Classroom Central really needs composition books, #2 pencils, erasers, crayons, markers and even glue sticks. Donation hours are Monday – Thursday 8am until noon. If you can’t make it by during those hours, give them a call (704-377-1740) and they will schedule a time for you to come drop your items off. They are asking the public as well as companies to help them out.
