GAFFNEY, S.C. — An eight-year-old girl was killed as the result of a shooting at a Gaffney, South Carolina apartment complex, early Sunday morning.
Cherokee County Coroner Dennis Fowler says Kamryn Montara Lamya Bradley of Shelby, N.C., was killed Sunday when she was hit in the head by a bullet fired into an apartment at 802 D West Buford Street in Gaffney.
The shooting occurred at about 1:05 a.m. and Bradley was transported to Mary Black Health Systems-Gaffney, where she died at about 2:35 a.m.
Fowler says Bradley was likely not the intended target and called the shooting “senseless” and “gang related”.
No arrests have been made and the case is under investigation.
