Wilson’s World: Previewing the Eclipse at Williams-Brice Stadium in Columbia, S.C.

COLUMBIA, S.C. –  Eclipse mania has hit everybody, but Wilson probably just a little more than some people.  He was outside of Williams-Brice Stadium, home of the South Carolina Gamecocks, this morning where he was getting us ready for today’s total solar eclipse.

Joining Wilson this morning was Anna Kate Twitty with Historic Columbia talking about all of the eclipse events going on in Columbia today.

Jim Murphy, a sports betting expert, gave Wilson the odds of the chances of clouds getting in the way of our view of the eclipse.

Mark Kingston, new head coach for Gamecocks baseball, stopped by to chat about the excitement of his new job, the town and the support of Gamecock Nation.

Nancy Smith with the South Carolina State Fair talked about the sold out eclipse tailgate party that they are holding today at the fairgrounds.  The fairgrounds will be open again in October when the State Fair runs from October 11th – 22nd.  Find out more about the S.C. State Fair at scstatefair.org.

And if you want to enjoy a little brew with your eclipse viewing, Bryan O’Neal with Benford Brewing in Lancaster, S.C. suggests you might want to pick up a Carolina Blackout beer.
