Investigators have identified the man who was found in Lake Norman last week. Jonathan Herran’s body was recovered from the lake on September 2nd. It took the sheriff’s office several days to identify the man. An autopsy revealed he drown. No foul play was involved.

IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. — The Iredell County Sheriff’s Office is asking for assistance identifying the body of a man found in Lake Norman this morning.
Homeowners and Fishermen alerted authorities to something suspicious floating in a Lake Norman cove around 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Officials say the man is either white or hispanic, between 20 and 50 years old, and about six feet tall. He is described as having long dark hair and was wearing a dark colored tee shirt with green swimming trunks.
The cause of death is unknown and the man’s death is being treated as a drowning.
