Wilson’s World: Previewing Yelp’s ‘Charlotte Made’ with 250,000 Bees

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Wilson was with Nikki Wolfe, Yelp Charlotte Community & Marketing Director this morning give us a preview of what can be seen and enjoyed during the upcoming Yelp’s ‘Charlotte Made’ month long series of events.  But before that we get his ‘joke you can tell at school,’ thanks to 4 year old Boone.

Nikki was with Wilson at Cloister Honey‘s facility where Randall York got them all suited up to get a little closer to the bees. Cloister honey has over 2 million bees working hard to make their great tasting sweet treat and they were right in the middle of about 250,000 of them.

Cloister Honey is only one of the many local business that are a part of Yelp’s ‘Charlotte Made.’  The events began Tuesday, September 5th and run through Wednesday, October 4th.  Participants will be go “behind the counter”  and explore the creative hideouts of local entrepreneurs. You’ll meet small business owners with great local brands, sample their goods, and learn about their production processes from start to finish.  To find out more information and schedule an RSVP for a local business you would love or would like to find out more about,  go to the Yelp link HERE.

Cloister Honey has teamed up with “Cookies for Kids Cancer” .  They are currently donating a portion of their sales to the charity.  Be sure to check out their website cloisterhoney.com  for local points of purchase or on-line purchase.
