Irma Impacts Early This Week

Cloudy skies Monday morning will give way to on and off periods of rain which will linger through Tuesday morning. Winds will gradually increase through the day and could gust as high as 40-50 mph, the highest gusts will be Monday night. Rain and wind will begin to taper off early Tuesday with gradually improving conditions expected throughout the day. Most locations will receive 1-3″ of rain with a few locally higher amounts possible. Localized flooding is possible. In addition to the wind and rain, a few isolated tornadoes are possible. Wednesday through the remainder of the week will be much quieter with temperatures warming into the low 80s under partly sunny skies. Although a few showers are possible, no widespread heavy rain is expected.

Monday Night: Periods of rain, gusty winds. Low 65°. ENE wind 20-30 mph, higher gusts.
Tuesday: Morning rain and wind gradually tapering off, below average temperatures continue. High 77°. ESE wind 10-20 mph, higher gusts.
