CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police say three people have been arrested after a weapon discharged and the bullet shot through an apartment building in east Charlotte.

Police were called to the apartment complex on Firelight Lane off Albemarle Road Saturday evening after someone called 911 saying a bullet came through the ceiling of  their apartment.

Officers determined someone in the apartment above discharged the firearm at the floor which led to the bullet traveling through the victim’s ceiling in the apartment below.  No injuries were reported.
