Wilson’s World: Kicking off the 9/11 Memorial Blood Drive at the Community Blood Center of Carolinas
Today's 9/11 Memorial Blood Drive at the Community Blood Center of the Carolinas runs today and tomorrow
CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Today the 9/11 Memorial Blood Drive at the Community Blood Center of the Carolinas is more than a blood drive to remember the attacks on 9/11. Due to hurricanes Irma and Harvey blood drives across the southeast have been cancelled and large supplies of blood have been sent to Texas, the need for blood will be even greater.
Wilson was at the center at 4447 South Blvd this morning as they geared up for the blood drive. The drive was currently scheduled to run from 6am-10am today, but at the South Blvd center it has been extended to run again tomorrow. Those donors who stop by today before 5:30pm or tomorrow from 7-8:30am will have their name entered to win a pair of tickets to an upcoming Carolina Panthers Football game! They have 4 pairs to give away.
While at the center, Wilson was joined by the Olympic High School ROTC band to mark the occasion of the anniversary of the first plane striking the Twin Towers.
Don’t forget! Stop in at the Community Blood Center of the Carolinas at 4447 South Blvd today until 5:30pm or tomorrow from 7am until 8:30am to donate blood and get a chance to win a pair of Carolina Panthers tickets!
