UPDATE: The lockdown at Allenbrook Elementary School has been lifted.
According to CMPD, officers were looking for a subject with multiple warrants.
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A west Charlotte elementary school is on lockdown due to police activity in the area.
Officials say Allenbrook Elementary off Freedom Drive was placed on lockdown shortly after 10am. CMPD has not said what the police activity is at this time.
