Wilson’s World: Visiting the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Wilson stopped in at the Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina today to get us caught up on everything they have been doing this year and some of their future events.

Since it’s inception in 1981 SHFBM serves 19 counties in North and South Carolina striving through education, advocacy, and partnerships to eliminate hunger by the solicitation and distribution of food.  They provide a regional distribution warehouse and branches that supply food and grocery items to charitable agencies that assist people in need.  They provide training, technical assistance and hunger education to our partner agencies.

Donate food, time or money.  Volunteers are needed for food drives, distribution and delivery.
