Mother Of Gardner-Webb Grad Shares Emotional Story Of Daughter Shot In Las Vegas Massacre
CHARLOTTE, NC — A woman who graduated from Gardner-Webb University was critically injured during the mass shooting in Las Vegas.
WCCB Charlotte spoke to the mother of Tina Frost, Mary Moreland, Monday evening as she stayed by her daughter’s side in the hospital. She says the Las Vegas hospital is packed with family members of hundreds of victims tonight.
Frost’s mother says a bullet hit her daughter in the face. She lost her right eye. She was in a coma and on a ventilator as of Monday night.
Frost underwent three hours of surgery after the shooting.
“Right now, she’s fighting for her life,” said Moreland. “You’re crying one minute, you’re listening to somebody else the next minute, you’re praying, the next minute you’re angry. You just want to put yourself in your daughter’s shoes.”
Frost is a CPA in San Diego now.
She played soccer for Gardner-Webb from 2008 to 2011.
She graduated in 2012.
