Rain Chances Increasing Throughout The Weekend, Warm And Muggy

Clouds will be on the increase Saturday with scattered showers possible, highs in the upper 70s. On and off showers will linger through Saturday night and Sunday with above normal temperatures. Heavier rain will develop late Sunday and gradually taper off Monday morning. Charlotte will receive around an inch of rain with lower totals to the east. Areas north and west of Charlotte will see the heaviest rain, some communities in the mountains may receive up to 5 inches. Above average temperatures and scattered showers will persist into the middle part of next week.
