Wilson’s World: Visiting The Arc of Mecklenburg County
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Wilson visits The Arc of Mecklenburg County and talks with Aktion Club Coordinator, Steve McIllwain, and Natasha Young from the Nevins Center.
Started more than 60 years ago by families of those with intellectual disabilities the agency focuses on advocacy and programs that benefit the disability population and serves over 2,000 clients every year.
The Aktion Club provides adults living with disabilities an opportunity to develop initiative, leadership skills and to serve their communities.
