Man Handcuffed, Duct-Taped To Chair During Chesterfield County Robbery

JEFFERSON, S.C. — Investigators say a man was handcuffed and duct-taped to a chair during a robbery in Chesterfield County.

Deputies say they were called to a property on J.L. Love Road in Jefferson around 5am Thursday morning.

The victim says two masked me assaulted him as he was walking to his truck.  The victim was reportedly pistol whipped during the incident.

Deputies say the suspects held the victim at gunpoint, demanding that he take them to a gun safe in a shop outside his home.

Once inside the shop, the suspects are accused of taking all the firearms in the safe and dumping them into a trash bag.  Deputies also say the suspects forced the victim to open a fire safe box that was inside the gun safe.  The box had a large amount of cash and other personal documents inside.

The suspects then handcuffed and duct-taped the victim to a chair, according to a news release.  The victim told deputies he called his wife for help after he heard the suspects leave.
