Officials say they’re not giving specifics about the threat, but say it did reference “explosive devices.”

CONCORD, N.C. — Police say they are investigating a threat to Cabarrus High Schools. Due to the threat, the high schools in Cabarrus County will be closing.
Concord Police posted this message on their Twitter account:
Officials say the decision to close schools was coordinated between law enforcement and the school system. Police do not believe the threat is credible but will still close schools out of an abundance of caution.
