Police: Argument Leads To East Charlotte Shooting
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are investigating after a man was shot in the leg during an altercation in east Charlotte.
The incident happened around 2:30pm on Thornhaven Court near Wallace Cabin Drive. CMPD says a group of people got into an altercation at a prior location and then continued the fight onto Thornhaven Court where a man was shot. Police say it appears the people involved are known to one another.
The man was taken to CMC in Charlotte for treatment. No arrests have been made at this time.
Police are still investigating another shooting that happened earlier Friday in the parking lot of a McDonald’s on Albemarle Road.
The victim of the Albemarle Road shooting reportedly was able to walk to a nearby Family Dollar for help before he collapsed. No arrests have been made in this case either.
This is a developing news story.
