Deputies Investigating After Several Homes And Vehicles Struck By Gunfire

UNION COUNTY, N.C. — Deputies are investigating after several homes and vehicles were struck by gunfire.  Deputies were called to Griffith Road shortly before 9pm Monday evening and found at least four homes and several vehicles with damage.

Officials believe most of the damage was made by birdshot fired from a shotgun.

Witnesses described a possible suspect vehicle as being a dark colored pickup truck, maybe a Chevrolet with loud mufflers.  No injuries were reported.
