CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. — Investigators say a man pardoned by President Obama has been arrested on felony drug charges in Catawba County.
Jerry Parson, 42, of Conover, was pardoned after serving several years in federal prison on conspiracy to distribute cocaine charges that date back to the mid 2000’s.
Investigators say they received a tip that Parson was involved in the sale and delivery of cocaine.
Officials executed a search warrant on Parson’s home on Bush Drive in Conover on January 30th. During their search, investigators say they found 28 grams of cocaine, 2 firearms and $1,500 in cash.
Parson has been charged with trafficking cocaine, PWISD cocaine, maintain a dwelling for a controlled substance and two counts of possessing a firearm by a felon.
